know that I shouldn't hate as bad as I do but right this very minute my blood is boiling. I'm basically venting. Our stepdaughter moved out last week because she turned 18 and wanted to go to a party but the night before the party she started hollaring at her dad so he told her to forget @ the party and she said she was leaving and going anyway. she has had a nasty attitude problem for a while especially towards me and my daughter. he told her that night that if she leaves dont come back! now he wants her to come back home for @ a week until she goes to grandmas. I know that if the shoe was on the other foot with my daughter that I would probably make my daughter learn her lesson. she made her bed why cant she lye in it? I am so happy that she's gone! I do not want her coming back even for a day. this probably sounds so bad but if you've been through what i have you'd understand. I told him that if she comes here, then I'm moving out. do you think I'm wrong? what's your story?

Okay my stepdaughter (12 1/2 yrs old) came to live with us a few weeks ago because of some issues she was having with her mother (she doesnt feed them often, never spends time with them, etc) so the 12 1/2 yr old was acting out in school and got suspended for fighting for the 3 time in one yr.....anyway since she has come to live with us I've done everything to try and make her feel more comfortable even making up a closet hideaway for her for when she just wants to get away...her and our 5 yr old daughter has lots of fun together but the closet was for when she kinda just wants to be alonge.....when she first got here I noticed she was taking food and hiding it in her hideaway and when I go to clean up I find the empty container or wrappers...I've told her that whatever she wants to eat she can have it..... now she seems to be getting a lot more comfortable but almost a month later and she is still stealing food and leaving the nasty wrappers in places food should not be because I think she forgets their in their...what should I do without making her feel uncomfortable?

It's not bad but it sounds like you are trying to hard to imitate the singer. You also seem to be singing through your nose and not from your diaphragm/throat/lungs (nasally). Don't try to imitate. Just be yourself.

What do i need for my home recording studio?!?

I asked my parents if i could turn one of our empty rooms into a recording studio, and the agreed! But my problem is that i don't know exactly what i need to get... I write my own songs, and i want to be able to record vocals and all the instrumentals too, but record them all separately or live... i.e. i want to be able to record the vocals, then drums, then guitar, then like put the 3 together to make the song. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF I KILLED MY GUINEA PIG?!?!!?!?

I got a cavy about a month ago, and he's always been pretty vocal and active. Today, I was putting him back in his cage after floor time, and I wasn't able to stop him from jumping out of my hands. He was fine at first, but then a few minutes later, he started sneezing for about five minutes, then coughed, then started excessively chewing on his tube toy. Then he started eating his fresh veggies,but then went from those to hay to pellets, back to veggies. Then he went in his pigloo, and has been lying on his side, and nestling his head into the bedding. I have been checking on him, and when I sit down eye level with the cage, he "yawns" and starts clicking his teeth at me. He even charged the cage this last time. I looked around, and some sites say that laying is relaxing. But I've never seen him do this before, and normally his fresh food lasts only minutes, its been like an hour, and he hasn't eaten much, but I always give him food when we are playing. I really hope he's gonna be ok! Also, I know yawning is a sign he's pissed, and his breathing is ABOUT 104 bpm. I say about because he kept moving. And he hasn't made any noises. Not even when he jumped, if he got hurt he would have squeeled right? Could he just be mad at me cuz he is not a fan of going back in his cage?

I love my boyfriend but I am afraid he has no room for me in his life.....?

I've been with my boyfriend for 9 months and I love him very much. Problem is he has two kids with his ex and was a stepdad to her kid from a previous relationship. When we first started seeing each other, everything was great! But he's received a lot of crap from his ex so now he is there with his kids everyday all day till they go to sleep. I only see him after 9pm on weekdays after kids in bed and almost never see him on weekends, unless again, it's after 9-10pm. I don't get to see him during holidays cuz he is with kids. He says it could be years before he is ready to be open with us about ex so until then his time with his kids was his time only. I tried to ask him for one weekend day for the two of us to spend the whole day together, to give him enough notice I said a month from now when you don't have kids. He can't even promise me that and seemed irritated I even asked. I tell him if he doesn't have room in his life for me it's okay I understand, commend him for being a great father, but I have needs too. He just gets mad and makes me feel like I am being unreasonable and making him choose between him and his kids. I'm not! I just need something...I don't want to see him for just a couple hours a night when he's done living his life and all tired. I have few friends and no kids of my own, and really feel like I should be out there starting my own family. It will be years before he's ready. I'm 30 he is 25. His kids are 2, 5 and his stepdaughter is 8. What should I do? Everytime I try to talk about it he gets mad or says he'll figure something out later and then doesn't. Dealing with a Motherless Daughter?

Will try to make this short. My stepdaughter of 4 years hasn't had much contact with her mother at all. Months and months will pass without contact. Well, now, Mommy has decided to make a grand re-entry, and my lovable stepdaughter is wreaking havoc. Mommy says that she doesn't have to tell her dad (my DH) what goes on when SD is wiht Mommy. This wouldn't be a problem, except for Mommy has a bad habit of lying and blaming her problems on us. SD comes home from a brief visit and hates us. She talks to Mommy on the phone and suddenly she no longer has to tell us what's bothering her or why she's so angry. All respect has gone out of the window. I hate that her mother puts her into these situations and manipulates her so easily, but our little one is really starting to worry us now (she's only ten). We find her going through our cell phones, etc. Wouldn't be a big deal, except we don't want SD to see nasty texts her Mom has been known to send (keep the kids, I don't want them, etc.) Seems like the more we try to help SD open up, the angrier she gets and the more she lies to us to cover for her Mom. Sickening... help, please? Nearly at Wit's End. ANY advice more than welcome. And the "she will grow up and it will all make sense one day and she'll appreciate you" thing is no comfort right now. Thats how I always beat my brother who had about 5 3000 atk monsters while my strongest was metal pancer bug (2800atk)

Firstly your sister in law needs to keep her nose out of your business. Secondly, what use would you be at a funeral, possibly causing an atmostphere because your hubby's ex would be jealous and deliberately making you feel uncomfortable, and thirdly, I don't see your step daughter would have gained any benefit from you being there - you are her step mum, and not her real mother where the bond of the family is - after all, it is her mum's father who passed away. In my opinion my life is over and I do not know where to turn anymore. I want to die so badly but do not have the courage to do it. I am literally wishing for my heart to just stop. My wife of 9 years is asking for a separation. My oldest daughter hates her step mom with a passion and she is also the vistim of abuse from her bio mom. My daughter has been molested, raped, abandoned, you name it and I and my wife have worked to the point of exhaustion to get her the proper treatment she has needed to no avail. My stepdaughter has been molested by her own dad and we fought to have him put in jail and end his visitation but we were laughed right out of court due to lack of evidence and the fact that CPS dropped the ball. My wifes ex-husband is extremely abusive (verbally) and has caused nothing but heart ache and misery in our house over the years. Of course I have fought to protect my wife but you can't prove someone has called you a name. My wife is also disabled and I have had to watch her over the years suffer in severe pain. I have had to be home most of the time to care for our 2 youngest kids while we fought with L&I and SSI. We have lost houses due to these circumstances and lost 2 cars to repo. Our whole world has come crashing around us. I had a nervous breakdown back in November and vansished for 3 days but did come back home. Now since that time my wife tells me that she has no trust in me, won't let me touch her at all but says she does not want to get a divorce. We have had our bills pile up to the ceiling because I was trying to take care of everything and not talk it over with my wife. Now, it feels like evil has won and now I am broken down. I just don't want to live anymore. I would not wish this on my worse enemy. I am almost 42 years old and feel like an 8 year old kid crying out for mama.

While her own daughters were obedient, domestic and (sanctimoniously) pious, the stepdaughter was headstrong, optimistic, stubborn and (in her stepmother's mind) not Biblically feminine. She would beat and strap her until her back was blue and bloody. The step-family left for a holiday to look at the handsome prince/king of some rich country. Ways to improve my vocal ability?

Wow! You actually sound really nice! Just stay away from dairy products, since they create phlegm. Also, don't drink hot or cold drinks before you perform, they irritate the vocal cords. Caffeine is also bad, especially from sodas and coffee. Keep it up, you sound really nice. Not that it doesn't sound good, but try singing from your diaphram (center of your torso, just below your chest). It will add intensity. You're doing great!

So Sick and Tired of My Husband and His F'n Guilt Trip!?

My husband is pissing me off! He has been going thru this battle of allowing his kids mother to use his 2 oldest kids against him. She hates him and plays yo yo with the kids whenever he doesn't do what she wants when she wants. She has been doing this for 10 yrs now and we have been together for 13 years. So I have watched him get his hopes up about things like her allowing the kids to come live with us and I'll be 100% with him and then she'll go back on her word and not let the kids come I guess she doesn't wanna give up the child support checks she gets...but anyway just recently she allowed one of the kids to live with us and then got made at him because the other daughter thats still at home made a mistake and broke a cabinet and so the kids mother felt like my husband should pay for it and of course he said no so she said bring the other daughter back and he will never be able to see them again...so couple days later she duped him into letting the daughter go home with her telling him that she will let her come back after the weekend....I told him not to let her go no matter what she said because I knew she wasn't going to allow her back and thats exactly what she did. So now its been a week since my stepdaughter has been gone and now my husband feels like he can act like an *** to everybody around him especially me (he does this everytime she pisses him off and then he pretends that isn't the case) He will act very distant to me and our daughter (5yrs old) And then when she allows the kids to come around again he treats us nice and loving like a husband/father is supposed to act but then she dupes him again and the cycle repeats itself.....I AM SO SICK OF IT! and I'm sick of him keep falling for it! I have not voiced this to him at all but its to the pont where i am just tired of him letting her play against this guilt trip he obviously has. He hates her n she hates him n im like Grow Up! I guess i've vented enough what do you guys think? oh yeah n everytime i encourage him to try n get custody(he has some type of limited custody forgot what its called) of the kids he talks a good game but never actually does anything!

Help with breathing after singing?

Whenever I breathe after I sing, it feels like the air is hitting my vocal cords or it is reaching the back of my throat. It sort of feels like my throat is wide open and I can't get it back to how it was before singing. After a while, my throat starts to get sore. I moved out from my dads and in with my mom. And my mom is married and has 2 new stepdaughters. Well, one of them asked me to do their hair and as I was I saw she had lice. And eggs. And I told my mom and she looked and the other one had it too. So I told my brother and he asked me to look and see if he had them and he did. And so did his girlfriend. I told my mom and she got really pissed off because she said everytime they go to their moms they come back with lice and then everyone else would get them. How can i get more power in my voice:without a teacher?

i plan to take vocal lessons again in the winter however i was wondering if there was anything i could do over the summer that would help me increase my vocal power. I have a musical coming up in november and i want to make sure my voice is strong enough to handle it. My issues are as stated: when i hit high notes they dont come out in full power, when i belt/mix my tone is partially uneven and wavers a bit, and i have a slightly nasal tone when i sing. so i was wondering if there was anything i could do on my own to help correct those issues as well as increase my vocal power. myabe even some songs that i can practice that will help me get there.

Why can't I speak after vocal rest? ?

There was one day when I had a slight sore throat. I have been having vocal practices, and I disregarded my sore throat and went for vocal practice with my friends and we got high, singing and occassional shouting for about 3 hours. After the practice, I realised that I had lost my voice. It didn't really hurt, but just that my voice couldn't come out much. For the next 5 days, I decided to give my voice a rest, talking only when needed. Initially, my throat didn't hurt, but at the 4th or 5th day, it starts to hurt slightly and my voice turns hoarse and still couldn't really speak up. So at the 5th day, I decided to see the doctor as I was afraid of vocal nodules. The doctor said that it was just vocal cords swallon due to singing with a sore throat. He told me to have vocal rest for 2 days and gave me some anti inflammatory medicine. I have already not spoken a word for the past 3 days, but today, when I tried to speak, my voice still seems to have some difficulty coming out. The voice isn't hoarse anymore, but when I try to speak my normal volume, my throat will hurt slightly. When my vocals aren't moving, it feels perfectly fine. I am gonna take a few more days vocal rest. Does anyone know what's wrong with my vocals? Why does it feel so difficult speaking now? I doubt it's vocal nodules as there isn't any lump in my throat. Is there anyway to speed my recovery? I hope I didn't do some inrepairable damage to my vocals. Can somebody help me please, my voice is very important to me. Thanks in advance.

I have been the step kid and what happens to children of divorce, too many times, is the parents use them to pit them against each other and the needs of the child are ignored. She is put in a position of being afraid of losing her mothers love if she "betrays" her. So do not put even more pressure on this girl. I can't stand this girl, she is the definition of evil, manipulating and just flat out worthless, Im sorry but I spent 3 years putting this kid through, therapy, counseling and just loving and trying to understand her, well my biological baby was born, oh I must add her father took paternity test and she is NOT his, anyhow she has threatened to stab my baby, she attempted to kill my husbands dog, she smeers poop all over our bathroom when she doesn't get her way, steals from us, now we had two sleep with our bedroom door locked with our pets and baby in there with us, well I kicked her out an now she is in foster care because neither her own mom, or moms family could handle her and now she is in a foster home, once again I tried so hard by spending thousands in counsiling fees and etc. This kid is beyond evil, white trash acting and doesn't care bout no one even her own therapists had no clue what to do, and once she threatened my baby it was over I can't have her in our life I despise her, has anyone ever experienced this?

My husband and i when to the store today with our son and his 4 year old daughter (my stepdaughter) who we have custody of, and we ran into my stepdaughters mother and sister (her sister turns 6 on may 14) and her sister was bragging that mommy was buying her a gun for her birthday! I don't think there really is anything you can do to get the mom to listen and stop sending inappropriate gifts. You need to start going through the gifts and either taking back any gifts you can or donating them or just getting rid of them any way you can. Than replace the presents with something appropriate.

Drum recording advice please?

Ok, My friend and I are both musicians and have recently been talking about recording our ideas. He plays guitar/ some vocals. I play drums and do vocals. I am looking into getting a drum microphone kit (probably a 5-7 mic kit) so we can start recording drums. I know to record vocals and guitars there are interfaces like the M-Audio Fasttrack and recording software (We are planning on purchasing that) But what I am confused about is what do I need to plug all those drum microphones into so I can put the audio onto my computer and recording software. Cause there will be around 5-7 mics. I have an 8 channel Powered mixer, but we usually use that to play through the PA's, plug guitars into, plug a microphone into, etc. I don't know if that would be useful for drum recording or anything but what do I know, Im still a teenager trying to learn what I can and pursue a dream. So please any help from experienced people would be much appreciated. (Also consider we are teenagers and are on a sorta slim budget)

My 5 year old stepdaughter is being prescribed this, as her mother wanted her tested in february for adhd. Within one week she was diagnosed with adhd. She's been in preschool for 3 months. I am a senior in high school and would like to go to college for mortuary/funeral services. What I've been doing is reading up on a few colleges near me, and what I've found is a little confusing. There is an all around license/degree that says you can embalm/prepare the body for burial that is good for the entire United States, but the actual funeral services degrees/licenses seem to be good only for the state you've gone to college in. Why does 18 year old stepdaughter always put her family last?

My husband and i raised my stepdaughter since she was 5. We gave her a good spoiled life even though we were strict about grades and boys. My step.daughter started spending the nights with us in december. She is 2.5 years old. Her mother still nurses her and sleeps in bed with her. Suspect a family member of drug use, don't know what to do (asked in another category too)?

My stepdaughter has decided to separate from her husband and they have two young kids together. They rent a house from us just up the street. Last night she came over to talk and her appearance made me suspect that she was on some drug. She looked exhausted, had just showered, and her pupils were tiny pin pricks. I like WLWH (undeniably a huge influence on the punk and noise rock genres), but I just find their debut album - ugly. Aside from the lyrics (which seems to be what gets noticed the most), can anyone tell me how this record was so innovative? It was different, but not exactly in a good way. Also, their later albums, while sounding more like alt rock before alt rock was even invented, still sound rudimentary and dated. Just because something is first, doesn't mean it's best. When I sing, others think I sound good but when I record, it doesnt sound good enough?

I sometimes have the same problem when i sing im 16 american..there are a few things that could be happening such as when you sing you can actually change the tone of your voive without knowing it meaning when you know that you are about to sing into a microphone you can be over doing it without knowing it or you can have a good singing voice but not a good recording voice which is very possible..practice makes perfect and when you get onto youtube the next time type that in "why do i sound diffrent recorded" or something like that i remember this man named eric aerneaux not sure of the spelling but he made a video of why this was happening if you go to his channel you will most like find it..good luck i wish you well

My stepdaughter has decided to separate from her husband and they have two young kids together. They rent a house from us just up the street. How can I tell if I'm an alto, soprano, bass, alto bass, mezzo,etc. I sing songs by Christina Aguilera, Paramore, Lady Gaga (just examples) best. My voice is that pitch. Wanting to adopt stepdaughter?

We gained custody of my stepdaughter about 4 years ago. Custody was taken away from her mother by the courts. A year and a half ago my stepdaughter went to florida to live with her mother again. Two months ago she came back to us due to abuse from her mom. Since living with us again her mother has had no contact what so ever with her. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how long does there have to be no contact between child and birth parent before I could petition the court to adopt? I can tell you right now that bio mom would not voluntarily give up her rights as that she wouldn't want to "look bad" to all of her friends and family. NOt to mention if she knew that that is what we really wanted she would say no out of spite. My fiances daughter passed over a week ago. I have been doing all that I can to give him my undivided attention and the support that he needs but it's becoming overwhelming for me. I'm feeling all of his emotions whether he is near or far.
