Funeral etiquette - question about the post luncheon after the funeral?

there never seems to be a personal invitation to funerals , if you knew the deceased and family well ,just go , and there is no length of time to stay , in fact it helps if you don;t stay long , then they may ask you personally to stay a bit longer , grief takes many directions
